So the day has finally come. I woke up the morning of Thanksgiving ready to workout! That all changed, once I realized I was looking at the wrong schedule for the Zumba class times, I said I'll just go jogging. That changed too, after stopping by a relatives house, they gave me the updates on the latest sales and then jogging was pushed back to, after I come back from shopping, which was supposed to only take less than an hour. Again, that didn't happen either. LOL! I mean I really did want to go workout! I was dressed and everything. Maybe my heart was ready to be spent with family, giving thanks.
I arrived at the family house, happy to see everyone. Smiles galore. Then it was time for.....dun dun dun....the Thanksgiving Feast. I grabbed my plate and I saw my favorite holiday dish. Cornbread dressing! I asked the most unthinkable questions, "Who made the dressing, "Does it have meat in it?" I did get a reply, but it was a comical one about me being vegetarian. I really don't know what all was said, because I just started saying "Stop hatin' on me and my healthy lifestyle!" LOL! (although I was going to consume pie later) I never got an answer to my question, so I didn't get any, but I didn't care. My aunt made me my very own personal pan of cornbread dressing, back at her house. HA! Now, as I continued to serve myself, I started feeling really strange. What if something had beef, chicken, or bacon grease in it? I slowly added green bean casserole, potato salad, ummm....and something else. I know one thing, If I go vegan, then I will definitely have to make my own holiday meals and bring them with me. Everything has cheese in it these days. Sorry I didn't get a picture of my plate, because we all sat together in a formal dining area and that would have been rude.
I was not expecting to stand out that much, but I guess this change in my eating habits is new to everyone, so hopefully by Christmas they will have adapted. No biggie. I try to prepare my mind for answering questions, but for some reason, I can never remember all those facts about Soy. Maybe I should keep cue cards in my purse?. :-)
The rest of the weekend has been great. I made sure I kept moving to burn the calories I have eaten daily. On Friday, I did a Turkey Blaster class, that was so much fun! On Saturday, I did Body Pump, and today, I was going to go jogging, but a friend came with me, so I just walked 2.79 miles. I think since my birthday is approaching, I feel the need to workout everyday. I have an outfit in mind and I need to be a tad bit lighter. I'm still working on my mid section. I've taken photos of my stomach and back, but I'm not ready to show them yet. I don't know. They're not pretty. However, my arms, tush and legs are shrinking!! I really need to buy new pants, but I've been waiting until I get to a smaller size, preferably a single digit. Although, baggy pants are not attractive and that loose fit is not for me! Shopping spree coming soon....
I have added new photos that I have taken within the last couple of months of my food and weight loss. If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably have seen most of them.
This Thanksgiving holiday went better than I thought and I am excited about what's next! Thank you all for reading, until next time....... Peace!
