I have also been focusing on my spending habits, which will get out of control if I don't watch it. I've noticed, that if I go to the store blind, with no list, no vision, or an idea, I will spend at least $75 on a bunch of nothing and I still forget the things I really need. Therefore, I always make time to write down my groceries for the week and I usually spend $50 every two weeks. Not expensive at all. The only things I need to buy weekly are fruits and snacks. I hear a lot of people complain about not being able to lose weight, because it costs too much (I used to be one of them). That is just an excuse. Have you ever heard of couponing?! It has really helped me out tremendously! I did try going to stores that are considered to be "cheaper", like Fiesta and Sellers Brothers, but the quality of the fresh vegetables is just not there. Some things you just have to invest in and I prefer, green leaves that looks like a beautiful piece of art. Now, when it comes to buying water, I don't care what brand it is. As of today, Kroger has a case of 24 for 2/$5 or you can find them 2/$7. Water is always on sale, somewhere. I am still eating the same types of food for now, my body is happy and I am losing weight. Once I notice a plateau happening again, I'll change it up.
On the 21st of October, I will be celebrating 6 months on my journey. I remember saying I wanted to have lost all the weight by then, but that's just not possible, if you do it the right way. OR.......maybe it is, I did have some bad weeks :-) I am dismissing the time frame and enjoying each day as it comes. I will not be posting anymore pictures until then. Sorry, but you have to wait. I only have 2-1/2 weeks to go. Don't worry, I will still post pictures of the food I consume. Oh and guess what?! I am going to do some thrill seeking that weekend! There are some activities, that I have always wanted to do, but my weight has stopped me. I am finally free!!!!!
During the next couple of weeks and throughout the remaining of this journey, I will be targeting all of the loose skin. I don't want to be smaller and flabby. That just looks gross and knowing me, having loose skin will also mess with my confidence. Can you believe I still do not have a Gym Membership?! I purchased some more weights, so pretty soon, I'll have an at home gym :-) So those of you using "no membership" as an excuse, I am here to tell call you out. YOU DON'T NEED ONE TO GET STARTED! So STOP all of your EXCUSES and get to work!
Until next time...
What A Week!! I lost 7lbs this week! I was astonished. I prepared all of my meals before I left home and measured them correctly. I woke up at 5:45a.m. to start cooking. I don't know why, but it felt more exciting. I was looking forward to eating every 2-3 hours. I also started a 21 day challenge with Mari's Fitness Studio, therefore I have to push harder, there is money involved :-) I TRY to workout Monday-Friday, with a mix of HIIT, Zumba, and Strength Training classes, on Saturday jog/walk for 3 miles and on Sunday, REST! Since I had a plan, everything seemed easy. I am 5 months in and there is no turning back. ( I have to keep repeating this to myself). However, on the weekend I do have some Oreos and Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, OR a Large fry from McDonald's ( Yep, the addiction is real) I'm human.
