I'm sitting here thinking about what to talk to you all about and my mind is all over the place. I'm just going to type as I think and we'll see what comes out of it. This past week flew by really quick. I wanted to have lost 5lbs, but I lost 4lbs. Still going in the right direction, but I may have to face the fact that I am getting tired. Not tired of losing weight, just tired of all the work that comes with it. Losing the first 30lbs was easy, but I am still overweight. If I can not lose another 20lbs on my own, I just may have to join Jenny Craig, in order to get to my goal weight. This nutrition thing is so confusing. If it wasn't so expensive to buy the food prepackaged, I'd do that! I'm sure all I need to do, is get uncomfortable again. See before, my clothes were becoming too tight and I had a hard time breathing and my blood pressure was through the roof. Now, my clothes are too loose, I have a lot of energy and my blood pressure is down. What girl would not be confident?! To get passed the outside appearance and focus on the inner me, is what I need to remember. The goal is to live a healthy lifestyle and one of the benefits of this lifestyle, is weight loss. On this journey, I am exploring all of my options, but quitting is not one of them. Even if this format does not help others, I use it to help me and to keep me focused. Be accountable for your own actions!
I have just downloaded the MyFitnessPal App, I'm only on day 2, but you should follow me on there as well, to see exactly what I am doing. My username is Marieezyfit. So far I like it. I am able to put my goal weight and it tells me how many calories I should be consuming in a day. It allows you to add the foods you are eating, by scanning the barcode, or simply typing it in and it will subtract the calories as you go. What I do not like about it, is when you add your cardiovascular exercises, all of the calories you just burned, is then added back into your remaining calories. Like Huh?! Anyways, I will just ignore that.
As I reflect on how far I have come, I also need to add more to my workout routine. I thought I would be able to do that last week. I purchased the Kettle Ball Boot Camp class from Living Social and when I called to sign up for a class, I did not receive a call back, like the voicemail promised. I waited a couple of days, then I went by the place and since I did not see anyone working out, I immediately went home and got a refund. My mistake. Always check out a place in person before you buy. I'm going to buy my own weights today, so that will no longer be an excuse, every thing is on YouTube anyways. I just love being around people who are dedicated to getting in shape. It's exciting, motivating annnnnd I am forced to workout for a hour. Lol! We all know, that at home it would be a 15 minute workout and the minute we get tired, we would be back in front of the television, sitting on weight, that we swear we want to lose. Or maybe that's just me.
There is a difference in saying you want to lose weight and actually doing it. The mental challenge is on!
